Julie recently addressed her peers on strong corporate leadership and culture, including employee engagement and coming changes to the office environment as Gen Z enters the workforce.

Engaged employees are satisfied, have higher productivity, and lower absentee rates. She cautioned that some employees seem satisfied on a base level, but if they are not seeking out assignments or going the extra mile, they may be unengaged and therefore dissatisfied.

Julie also discussed Millennials becoming responsible for training Gen Z. The job of current leaders is to prepare Millennials on how to be effective leaders to Gen Z. According to Mazars’ global survey of its employees, Gen Z feels a strong connection with their work, so making them feel accepted and appreciated is going to be key to their satisfaction.

Staying one step ahead of future trends in the workplace will be helpful for companies in ensuring a happy, engaged, and productive workplace culture.
